General description
Chain and roll conveyors are used on drawing, cold rolling and stretching machines to transport the spools, reels or coils.
Chain and roll conveyors are designed and tailored according to the specific installation layout of the machines and customer company.
This conveyor consists of one (or more modules) whose movement is synchronized by a series of chains driven by a gear motor. The number of modules depend on the requirements of the customers in terms of buffer.
The conveyors have a solid steel frame and are closed by protection panels according to EU standards. For security reasons the access is closed by a light barrier and sensor devices monitor the movement of the spools, reels or coils.
Mainly, two different categories, can be identified: chain or rolls conveyor. The use of one type respect to the other depend mostly from the kind of load to be transported.
These devices are normally used combined with the fully automatic wire spoolers machines, where, working in combination with the overhead manipulator, can load the empty spools and download the finished product (spools or coils) in automatic way.
